On New Year’s day at City Centre, Salt Lake, Kolkata
On 14th April 2012, Bengalis all over the world welcomed their New Year and celebrated it in many ways.
One message to the Bengalis all over the world should not go un-noticed. First Time, US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton sent a message to the Bengali Community on this occassion. Message is reproduced below :

For Mamata Government too this New Year was first NewYear. New Year messages of CM Mamata came through all medias including Mobile ( SMS) & Radio but these were most disgusting to the civil society on that particular day because previous day, people of West Bengal seen how a innocent JU professor was arrested and harrassed just for forwarding a mail to his friends and he was thrown behind the bar by her police. The cartoon in question was not new, it is a well circulated cartoon within the Facebook community. It was not made by the professor. It should have been taken in a true spirit and the brain behind this cartoon should be honored for such a brilliant creation.
Civil Society is now afraid and losing faith on her. People have seen in many occassions that her talks and acts are not the same. All these acts and talks of her / her administration resulted her first New Year wish as CM to be sour and civil society could not be pleased with her messages.
