Fully blommed Katrina

According to a poll by a leading UK magazine, Katrina Kaif is the Sexiest Asian Woman of 2008, and John Abraham is the Sexiest Asian Man of 2008. Last year’s winner Bipasha Basu was pushed to second spot by Katrina Kaif. Katrina Kaif was voted ‘Sexiest Asian Woman Alive’ for 2008. The poll is an annual shindig run by The ethnic Asian magazine in the UK.

“I’m very surprised. I really didn’t expect this” – was the reaction of Katrina. This in spite of the fact that Katrina doesn’t think she’s sexy. “Maybe the way I define sexy is different from the general definitions. Maybe the people who have voted for me think differently from me… thank god for that! The beautiful thing about this world is that there’re so many different opinions.”

“The important thing is to enjoy this moment. I smile about these things. Such momentary honor makes me want achieve a lot better. They help me take the next step.”

Katrina Kaif was born and brought up in London to a Kashmiri Father and a British Mother. While her stint at modeling in London, she came to the notice of filmmaker Kaizad Gustad and bagged an important role in his film Boo. It was this move that encouraged Katrina to take on to acting in Bollywood as her full-fledged career and shift her base to Mumbai. Flooded with modeling assignments in Mumbai, she took onto the big screen with movies like ‘Sarkar’ and ‘Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya’.
